The ancients used to teach: "Moc[木]-bon[本]-thuy[始]-nguyen[源]", which means "The tree has a root, the water has a source". Today, being born as a human among us, everyone has a grandfather, grandmother, mother, father and relatives. A person who studies the Way, a child of Buddha has a sect, a teacher, an ancestor, and a subject. ☑
Buddha Shakyamuni, the leader, the founder, founded Buddhism on earth. We are living, born, from Hindu India. He appeared, traveled to save sentient beings for eighty years and passed away, more than twenty-five centuries ago.
Buddhism was introduced into Vietnam, over or under two thousand years ago, and has taken root and deeply ingrained in the hearts of the Vietnamese people. ☑
Near the middle of the twentieth century (in 1944) in the south of Vietnam, the Venerable Master MINH DANG QUANG was born.
He generated Bodhicitta, established the aspiration: "Continuing the Dharma of Shakyamuni". Opened the tradition of the Mendicant School, established "Vietnamese Mendicant Buddhism". ☑

As a child, although he was born and raised in a rural village, he had a different intelligence than other children of his time. The style of walking, standing, eating, wearing, talking and doing... all show a more dignified, calmer virtue than us. Because of that, from the time he was a teenager, he was loved by his father and loved by everyone around him. When he reached the age of entering school, he was always diligent in his studies, no matter what the teacher taught, he smoothly went there and every year, every progress. ☑- Outside of school hours, he helps with housework and serves his parents. And moreover, he was very diligent loving studying exploring historical records of religions, especially the three religions: Sakyamuni - Taoism - Confucianism...
- Thanks to that, whenever he talked to people with good conditions: whether familiar or unfamiliar, he met. Patriarchs are explained on all issues, clearly and are respected by people. ☑
- Being absorbedethics, Confucianism, he often visited contemporary ethical and elder contemporaries, to consult morals. During this time, he created a small room behind the house, so that he could "daily" practice meditation.
- He often meditates and thinks, sometimes for a couple of hours. There were afternoons when he often turned his eyes to the vast horizon, with a contemplative face as if thought about something that has not been resolved. ☑
II.- Seeking the Way and Leaving the Earthly Karma:
The inherent identity of the person who came out of the world, he repeatedly asked his father's permission to go to the land of Chua Thap to find a monk to study the Way. But his father, because he loved him too much, could not let him go alone, to a strange land and homeland when he was still a teenager. After many nights of thinking, he could not because of the small family's personal feelings but hesitated with "truth - will", so he decided to leave: ☑
Well!...that's it, that's all... well, well,
Cursed! Please accept: sorry for the father.
The teenager left home one day,
Crossing the Vietnamese border, Cambodia is miles away.
Go to the mountains to find the golden flower cave,
Seeking to study religion in Nam Vang city.
(Tru Vu) ☑
- He left Vietnam for Cambodia at the age of 15 and went to study with Mr. Luc Ta Keo, whom he had heard from his father a couple of times about the merits of helping the world. It was in this first teacher that he experienced arduous trials such as digging wells, filling ponds, tending swidden gardens, managing workers in lime kilns, trading...
- Then one day, the teacher gladly expressed his praise and handed over all his karmic possessions to the apprentice disciple to take care of. For more than three years, he was both effective and good at helping the world and saving the world.
- Also during this time, he realized the temporary nature, gain and loss, yes and no of matter...And realizing that his profession and the way he was following were not suitable, he bowed to him and asked for permission to return to Vietnam.
- At that time, he was helped by an acquaintance to work in a trading company in the Cholon area. It is here that old karma reappears, is tested and ends.;
- More than a year later, Kim Hue's life partner passed away, leaving him with a young daughter resigned from his job, carried his son quietly, returned to his hometown and asked his family to help him. A year later, baby Kim Lien also followed her mother to leave, leaving in his heart many sorrows and contemplations.
Contemplating in the infinite heaven and earth,
Predestination! Oh, also the common karma of all species.
Or the Holy Will of the Tathagata,
Want to review the whole painful lesson?
Pain is impermanence!
Impermanence is calculated: segment-long, old, present.
(Tru Vu) ☑
- The illusory impermanence awakened his awareness and nurtured his bodhichitta. In the late afternoons, he often sat motionless, meditating, watching the sunset...falling down; contemplating all dharmas: changing illusory, impermanent.
- Are the painful lessons, the lessons of impermanence, the lessons of cessation, the wonderful lessons that have transformed the defilements into Bodhi? Helping the Bodhisatta to complete his vows, which day is still unfinished!
III.- Renunciation and Enlightenment: TRUTH
- Realizing that the path to self-liberation and saving birth cannot be separated from the monastic path like the Buddhas and Patriarchs of the past. Unable to stay in a temporary material house forever, he was determined to leave.
- Towards the source of Right Enlightenment on a clear morning in the spring of Giap Than - 1944. This time, he came to the sea of Mui Nai - Ha Tien province with the intention of taking a ship to Phu Quoc and then going far away. But due to the delay of the boat, he sought a quiet place to meditate.
- One afternoon, in front of the natural scenery, the vast sky and water of mountains, forests, sea, undulating boats, sea foam: gathering, canopy... He meditated, contemplated all dharmas, displayed the true mind, attained impermanence, suffering and no-self.
- The opposites, full and empty, have and don't, remain, lose, live and die, life's sufferings and joys are just illusory, dependent birth. He clarified the legal "boat of Prajna" against the current of life to save sentient beings. This great spiritual awakening event, on the full moon day of the second lunar month, 1944. That year His Holiness turned 22 years old.
After that, he returned to visit his father and family, confirmed his practice and the path he was embarking on, and continued to travel to experience the truth. This time, he went to That Son area, where there are hermits that are rarely seen. Amidst the natural scenery, craggy mountains, covered trees, quiet on all sides, day and night meditating: sitting still!
At noon, when he finished his "vegetarian meal", he found a quiet place to be quiet: meditate. The predestined time had come, he was a layman on pilgrimage, worshiped, and understood; respectfully invite him to Linh Buu pagoda in Phu My village - My Tho to popularize human life.
In this charming land, he continued to quietly study the scriptures of the two traditions of Southern and Northern Buddhism. During the first period of practicing religion in Cho Lon, Saigon, Gia Dinh...

___ In 1944, he visited, consulted, with prominent contemporary monks such as: Zen master Minh Truc, at the temple: Buddha Buu Tu. Here, he received the material "Eye-Treasure of the Dharma," about the ancient Nirvana Congress, at Linh Thuu Son Temple.; (At Linh Thuu mountain); The second sect of "Tantricism" led by the second Patriarch is the venerable Ca-Diep, who instead assembled the scriptures for the Buddha.;
Refer: Phật Ca-diếp.; Buddha Kassapa. Not making "text" and Buddha Shakyamuni, said it was: "pagan: special transmission" the method of Zen Buddhism.
___ In the spirit of non-attachment: whether you are a non-believer, or that person, whose parents are atheists, or are not atheists. Then the method of Zen Buddhism, in which "tantra" is forbidden to speak...still receive and transmit the sound seal! (That is, "directly directing the transmission: using the word of instruction"!) Word-of-Decision: True Tradition!...☑

...still recive and transmit the sound seal! Thank!
Huyen Le Duc: (still, receive and transmit the mind seal) not "transmit the sound seal" guys!;
___ Dang BA Tuan ah! A Zen teacher...he reads the sentence of mindfulness (passing and walking: read 11 times, in front of a disciple who is "meditating")
5.- Five is, to remember the teachings.
6.- Six is one-pointedness that great concentration (meditation).
VOCA. one-pointedness = nhất tâm = single-minded = ngay thằng, thành thật

- And then, students practice for 100 days "forbidden to say: voluntarily" (meditation tantra) and just write mindfulness articles. In this context, the mind of the Master... is passed on to the disciples. The student uses the headset to "transmit the sound: enter the secret"... says to make an impression on the listener's mind!
- The term "transmit the mind seal-certificate" is due to people who do not practice. They write it wrong...we think it's right! Sound-seal transmission: like stamping a seal!
- Ok! Then you should infer, there must be two disciples and the Master. Called two students, they are the sravakas, and study meditation.

That is, an establishment outside of the teachings. One document, by Zen master Minh Truc, translated from Sino-Vietnamese into Vietnamese.; (In the future, it will be translated into French. The document is dated April 30, 1944, solar calendar.);( At the end of his life, he gave it back to Mr. Ananda, summoned the church: drafted and gathered the scriptures.
Time is slowly coming.

- The Patriarch in turn consulted with...Master Hue Nhut, Zen sect Lam Te, Mr. Thien Tuong (Van Tho Temple - Tan Dinh), Most Venerable Hue Dang (Ba Ria - Vung Tau)...At the same time, he also came to discuss with lay intellectuals at that time, such as layman Chanh Tri Mai Tho Truyen (South Vietnamese Buddhist Association).
- Layman Doan Trung Con (Dharma discipline Tinh Do: belonging to Pure Land School; in Saigon), layman Nguyen Chan (Tra Vinh)…Through visits and ethical exchanges.
- He knew the current state of Buddhism well, and at the same time oriented Vietnamese Mendicant Buddhism according to the ancient Buddhist tradition, in accordance with the local culture of Vietnam.
___ On the full moon day of April and the full moon of July, 1946, in order to fulfill the precepts, corresponding to the "precepts of self-nature", dignified and pure: which he personally attested.
