I. Hometown and Family: Honor the title: Monk-Teacher! Elderly birth certificate name: Huynh Van Suong. Born in the Year of the Dragon (1928), in Tan An, Long An province. Master's father is a great-grandfather: Huynh Van Hon. The mother, the old lady: Nguyen Thi Mau. When he was 12 years old, he had a predestined relationship and listened to Founder Minh Dang Quang and preached. And, at that time, usually sat near the bell. So after that, he asked for permission from the family: He left the family to become a monk, that is to become a renunciate.
- At the age of 13, his mother was ill, and he asked Master Minh Dang Quang to take care of his mother. Later, his mother also left the family, and became a nun. After a year of nurturing His mother overcome illness. At the age of 14, he continued to pursue a career for "the truth of the will"
- . Zen master Thich Giac Tinh, the third son in the family, consists of 3 boys and 1 girl. He was born and raised on the river: Vam Co, peaceful, gentle and prosperous. Two of his brothers died early, his sister followed his husband in the United States of America and he was only a boy, so the family sent to learn Chinese and Vietnamese language!
- He is qualified to be an ideal young man in society. He inherited from his parents the inheritance and transferred it to the son of His uncle. He was in charge of driving the car, taking the congregation to religious practice, throughout southern Vietnam.

In August 1954, he started traveling to Central Vietnam. At that time, he was 26 years old, after 12 years of practicing the Dharma. He decided to bring the light of the Buddha Dharma to enlighten the fortunate people and establish a church: to receive his disciples. As the Buddhist scriptures teach: "Travel in the peace and happiness of gods and humankind".
With the monk's life, he brought with him only one set of books: THE TRUTH SUTRA with a piece of Buddhist robe and an earthenware bowl. He has traveled all the way in central Vietnam. The spontaneous cemetery is a temporary residence and a small wooden house built in 1956. (Quy Nhon and Nha Trang towns). In 1966, a Buddhist monk's delegation of monks from the south to the central region of the religion, Nguyen Thi Tam made offerings to the land, and he established the Vihara: NGOC NHON.
Notes: Many people know and pass on the story of "Mrs Tam". She said that night, she dreamed of a monk meditating in her garden ground. ; ___ And, indeed, as in a dream, just at dawn, she saw Him meditating in the cemetery, close to her garden. So she gave her heart to dedicate her garden land, and her house to the Master as a teaching place. At the end of 1967, he started to build Ngoc Nhon Tinh Xa and inaugurated. In 1978, the elder Thich Giac Tanh, retired, left a "jewel relic" (little people known).

From there, his religious footsteps with Elder Tao Giac Tanh spread throughout the Central and Highlands. The next monastery after Ngoc Minh Vihara is Ngoc Hoi Vihara, located in Bong Son town, Binh Dinh province, built in 1969.
And other viharas were built, stretching from Ho Chi Minh City up to the Highlands to the Central region at the beginning of the Dong Ha and Quang Tri lines. Everywhere is imbued with the doctrine, truth, philosophy and thought of Buddhism.
Wishes of renunciation and refuge in the Three Jewels, keeping the Buddha's precepts become: Lay people, supporting the religion very much. Currently, the II congregation has built 16 Vihara and one Pure Land. The virtue of a Master is a moral example: righteous effort, full of energy.
He forgot himself and dedicated the Dharma of Buddha, patiently on the journey! Sometimes he has nothing to eat, but with the will and the mind of a Bodhisattva, steadfastly, he firmly attends meditation.
People are very respectful: He and Venerable Thich Giac Tanh! Together, they drove the congregation to overcome the difficulties of the beginning, bringing the light of TRUTH, the taste of well-being and blessings to everyone. It is:
"The difficulty multitude things at beginning, A weary man, the glorious multitude of people. Oh! it's justifiable for life to respect... The merit of virtues Noble, immeasurable, infinite."

Seeds came into the world, started to sprout, were, and will be: the Bodhi tree. It has been more than two thousand years, olden: Shakyamuni Buddha had been enlightened.

His religious program: always a monk of the Feast of the Sacrifice, solemn and serene and especially full of etiquette and often reading verbatim: the whole book of TRUTH SUTRA.
He carefully read the list of Worship with the prayer: "Pray for peace and pray for transcendence and rebirth in the Land of Ultimate Bliss" for the souls of those who have died. When teaching the disciples to practice, the Master-Teacher and the students meditate: pure ...
He gradually increased the time and number of books reading the TRUTH SUTRA. In the beginning, he read slowly the harmony, the middle section he read quite quickly, the end slowly slowed down until the end! With the loud and natural voice of the Zen master, the audience also acted as if it were real.

Including: Sutra Canon, Vinaya and Abhidhamma: about the view of life, the view of the universe and the relationship between man and nature and the world (also known as: worldview). 69 discourse topics!
He was very interested in discussing the Dharma-door: practice! Especially the method: "Writing, Studying and Reviewing" that most of the disciples taught by His Holiness must write articles, meditate and present them to the Master, bowing respectfully! The number of writing notebooks is quite large, possibly up to thousands of notebooks. ☑
In 1969, the Master returned to a small piece of land: Pure Land, cultivated in charge of Abbot and Bodhisattva residence at the monastery: NGOC NHON. Address: 999, Tran Hung Dao street, Dong Da ward, Quy Nhon city.
In particular, he dedicated himself to: accepting disciples at home, teaching meditation and opening: dharma practice: "Paganism: special transmission". Elder: Thich Giac Tanh, the First Chief of II Corps until 1978, passed away! He met the monks and nuns to declare the succession, to the Elder: Thich Giac Dinh, in charge of II Corps.
In fact, during the full moon days, the number of lay people gathered at the Vihara: Offering Festival, is getting more and more crowded. Not enough seats to listen to the sermon after the ceremony: bowing respectfully!
Therefore, Congregation II, has mobilized: Domestic and foreign lay people to support and rebuild the Vihara, with a larger structure, enough room to accommodate 200 people.
Since then, He has guided the rebuilding of the Viharas in Congregation II, all on a larger scale... Buddha bless you! The first two sentences write the first mindfulness essay: "Five is, remember the teachings. Six is, one-pointedness: great concentration".
Two verses of the Seven Parts of Mindfulness Bodhicitta, have been taught. The meditation disciples all respect and write articles as a concrete proof of each person's time of moral cultivation and meditation.
Ready: "Rejoice with all circumstances" before life is impermanent, suffering and the time is really short in each human life. ☑

V. Duration of Illness and Death:
As a human life, no one can avoid the law: Birth, Aging, Sickness, He was ill in 2000 and silently endured the pain of his body without groaning. When monks and nuns and Buddhists came to visit, he only said: "I'm old, I'm sick, I'll live and die tomorrow". Although his body was sick, but with an earnest desire to finish the place of worship: Cuu Huyen-柩 玄: (mysterious coffin)! To have a place of worship for family members of lay people: entrustment.
Then he will be happy and satisfied. The time has come and the situation is right, the church: Cuu Huyen-柩 玄, was built, completed and put into use in February this year (2008). ☑

| Church's Nine Legends of Seven Ancestors *&* Although sick, but when he had Buddhist work at the Vihara: Buddha's Birthday, he tried to take care of Buddhists: Do meritorious deeds. About a month before, His Holiness passed away, he said as a message: "I'm leaving soon!". When he became seriously ill, his orthodox disciple, Thich Giac Tin, brought him back to hospital: Quy Nhon city hospital. Before that, was a young Sa-Di (apprentice) who was originally from Hue and served him, Dharma name: Thich Minh Nghi. Always be on duty and take care of him, together with great-virtue: Thich Giac Tin. He lay calmly, peacefully and freely, without a word of complaint. The doctor said: "The monk's illness is very serious and painful, but why can't there be words or gestures that show it!". Amazing, of His endurance! Master-Master's patience is truly admirable! In accordance with the law of birth and death, he became more and more worn out like a flickering lamp: before the wind of impermanence. Although he took good care of him, his illness was difficult to overcome. So brought to the Vihara, the four disciples were always on one side. When the monks and nuns noticed that his breath was getting weaker, together they surrendered and prayed for 20 minutes in advance. The Venerable : Thich Giac Manh, watching the progress, saw him open his eyes and his eyes suddenly flashed and then slowly closed them. His face: calm, his breathing slowed down and then passed away at: 5:00 p.m. on May 20, the year of the Rat (June 23, 2008, solar calendar).
