Confine yourself like a prisoner,
Fear of sin, that's the way it is!
Do not listen to those who say: bad,
Unruly behavior, yelling, stop now!

- Another father had three children. An older son is gentle and easy to teach, so he is often encouraged and rewarded, "so that he can be quickly and well, on the noble path of enlightenment later.
- The next child's mood was both natural and unnatural, so he didn't reward or punish, no matter what! He said, It's life goes on like that forever, is right according to enlightenment, and enlightenment gradually.
- But only the third child should be very rebellious, sinful, no matter what, so he often punishes himself to be enlightened all the time.
One day, that little child, because of a fight with people, his father called to punish him.
He told me, "I will give you ten lashes, according to the severity of your crime. But because I don't hate or resent you, and I can't bear to see you suffer, I'm giving you these lashes so that you may attain enlightenment. If you attain enlightenment quickly, I won't give you ten lashes. But if you haven't attained enlightenment after ten lashes, I will continue to give you more until you are enlightened and repentant. Only then will I stop."
He gave him one whip and asked, "Are you still fighting?" The son remained silent. He gave him another whip and asked again, "Are you still fighting?" He asked this question with each whip until the fifth, when the son finally confessed, saying he wouldn't do such wrong things again. Then he stopped whipping and asked him carefully why he hadn't fought anymore. The son had to answer each question clearly, showing that he had repented, truly realized the harm of his wrongdoing, and understood the consequences. Then he forgave him and didn't have to give him another ten lashes.
But on another occasion, he promised to give him ten lashes, and after all ten lashes, if he still didn't repent, he was forced to give him twenty more lashes before he finally realized his sin.
Before each beating, he would lament to his son that he was merely a temporary father, a pioneer on the path of life. If he did not teach and guide his son, he would be guilty: later, if his son suffered misfortune or hardship, he would blame his father for giving birth but failing to guide him. Furthermore, society would reproach him for having a son who would bring them harm.
____ Dear all, present in the discussion and discussion of internal affairs of the family "father beat son". However, a few years later, the son became enlightened after he was taught the Oriental acupuncture point. The child has written the mindfulness lesson as follows:
5.- Five is, remember the teachings.
6.- Six is one mind: great concentration. (meditation; great-samadhi) ✅✒✒❎
The child, following his Dad's instructions, opened his notebook, copied the information, and numbered it 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...After writing sentences 5 and 6, the child drew a line across the page with a ruler. (Record the number of times the child wrote and repeated the two sentences.)
___ Wow! My lesson, Mom...See it to me!
- And in that lesson, Learn to Cultivate, the son, wrote two verses that:
__ Father's grace is like a Great mountain; Father beat me angry, angry...but love!
- __ The father, every day, is busy with many things. But now, the son has presented the article to his father! He saw the above two sentences in his notebook, wrote a mindfulness lesson, and wrote two sentences in it for his children to learn more:
- __ Một lời chín núi dặm trường,; Lòng không thay đổi, đạo thường: rèn trau!; One word, nine mountain miles long.; The heart does not change; the way is often forged and cultivated!; Vì bản thân ông còn lo ôn lại về cổ ngữ: "nhứt ngôn cửu đỉnh, quân tử bất trung thành: cái chi"?; Because he himself was worried about reviewing the ancient language: "One word nine peaks, the gentleman disloyal: what"?
- __ Nghĩa là, một lời sái trật, một ly nhỏ của đơn vị đo lường chiều dài, là nó dịch xa: ngàn dặm!; That is to say, one word wrong, one inch of the unit of length, and it translates far: a thousand miles!; Trong việc hằng ngày, mà ông ấy làm, là chuyển dịch ngôn ngữ, văn bản của người xưa đã để lại!; In his daily work, which he does, is translating languages and texts left by the ancients!; ☑
Time passes quickly, the child who was still a child and rebellious has grown up (citizen 18 years old). In the study of the Way, as well as the class in real life, too, he gradually increased the content of the article on mindfulness for the child, as follows:
Chanting verses:
Entering concentration
*&* A distinction between good and evil,
Two efforts, go ahead on your own!
Peace, morality, grace,
I ask for Mindfulness, steady, pure.
*&* The four subjugate your mind to do good,
Five remember the moral, in sentient beings.
One-pointedly practicing samadhi,
Practitioners, zazen, cessation of birth: delusion.
*&*
Write a mindfulness post regularly reciting,
Mindfulness without distraction, strict precepts.
Get rid of afflictions: religion, life,
Happy to bear all circumstances,...oh, meditating!

But before becoming enlightened with sin, depressed, and afraid of sin, one must understand the truth about cause and effect! That is why I want you to understand justice, karma, and retribution. If you cause others suffering, you will be subjected to even greater suffering in return. So I don't want you to commit more sins and suffer endlessly. Because I love you, I must teach you! I will reward and encourage you when you do right; I will punish and threaten you when you do wrong! This kindness and authority are solely for your understanding of justice, karma, and retribution. Today, I am beating you, acting on behalf of justice, karma, and retribution. I am punishing you first to prevent you from committing more serious sins that will lead to greater retribution. Each time he gave him a whip, he questioned him. Although he said he would give him ten lashes according to the law of retribution, sometimes he would only give him five or six lashes, or even twenty or thirty lashes, depending on his son's state of mind, whether he had understood or not. After each time he finished teaching him, he would cry, because he felt sorry for his son's pain, and he would say:
- ___ He's also too evil, hurting me, his mind is familiar with that evil nature, then there's no way to avoid it in the future, sin; justice, cause and effect, retribution!"
But if not punishing is unavoidable, that punishment is to save the child; it is also to engrave the memory deep into the child's flesh and blood, so that the child remembers the day, time, and year, the lesson they received. Even if, after the father's death, the child suffers hardship, they will willingly accept it, without complaining or blaming their father. And just as the day and time of this admonition are recorded in society, even if the child misbehaves later in life, people will blame them, not the father. That is the duty of the elders towards their descendants! Each time he punishes his child, he asks the child what they fear that prevents them from misbehaving again. If the child says they fear him, he will not accept it, because he is not an overly evil person, and even if he were evil, no one in this world would need to fear such evil! The son said he was afraid of the whip, but the father refused, saying the whip would break, and he would die. Then, when he was gone, there would be neither father nor whip. What would there be to fear then, to avoid suffering? Besides, the father-son relationship is temporary in each lifetime; all living beings have no beginning or end. So, who should be afraid of whom? And the whip doesn't just strike whoever it encounters at any time; why should one be afraid? Now, he told his son that fearing sin is paramount. A sinless person will no longer have the father's name or the whip in this life. Furthermore, if one is to suffer the consequences of their actions and consider it shameful, one should first feel ashamed of one's sins, so that there will never be humiliation later.
Until one day, the foolish and sinful son had become so deplorable that the father was forced to lock him up in a cage. He told him that he had to atone for his sins by being imprisoned for ten years according to the law of karma, but he could release him before ten years if he had repented early. However, if he had not yet realized the truth after ten years, he would never release him to harm himself and the world, but would keep him imprisoned indefinitely, until death, or for as long as he realized his sins and felt ashamed of them.
This means that the father was not being unjust or resentful towards his son, but was obligated to give him the full ten lashes or imprison him for ten years if the son had repented early.
- Ông cha ấy cũng tức là chơn lý võ trụ vậy!; That father is also the cosmic truth!
Look, a teacher, a master, has the duty to guide the younger generation; the one who goes before must lead the one who follows. According to the law of communal living, we must live, progress, learn from each other, and help each other so that one day we may all reach our destination of rest and peace.
A judge from the Underworld said to the murderous robber, "You have taken a human life from society; you have sinned against the truth, against the right to life and progress of the universe. You have committed the sin of murder against all living beings. The soul of that person is waiting, resentful because you cut off their path to life and progress, so they hate you. Why did you have words to tell them right from wrong? You cannot give birth to a human being, so how can you have the right to kill? And is your evil deed perhaps encouraging future generations to imitate you, abandoning justice? Perhaps you do not want to live, do not want to exist in this human world, you want to die, and therefore you want everyone to die? But you are mistaken; only you want to die, everyone else wants to live! So if you want to die, then you must die alone so that everyone else can live."
- You must take matters into your own hands, just as you killed that other person, according to your own will, wanting everyone to die in that way so that the other person's soul will no longer resent you; that soul will be satisfied, believing that your will was truly fulfilled, that you did not deceive them to trick them into death so that you alone could live; your soul and the other person's soul will become friends and go together down a different path, through your allure. Thus, you must follow your friend's path. You must take matters into your own hands, also to prevent anyone from committing further acts of murder; you must do so, for no one dares to live near you anymore, your actions have shown them so, therefore you must truly fulfill your vow, do not break your promise, only then can you hope for the next life or another realm, where you will become good and achieve success and happiness again. Surely you will have no reason to blame anyone for that.
- Why is that? Because your intention and aspiration were like that! Your self-justification is a valuable merit for future generations. By following your example, they will avoid such erroneous and irrational thoughts. Thus, regarding the word "killing," one must personally take responsibility for one's own life. Afterward, everyone will be very afraid, and no one will dare to kill anyone anymore, whether right or wrong. And people will learn to speak gently to each other; the world will become more populous from now on, living, progressing, and reaching a state of peace and happiness.
