Khói hương xông thấu: mấy từng xanh,; The smoke of incense penetrates: many green leaves;
Rốt ráo tâm con bổn nguyện lành.; Ultimately, my mind is filled with good wishes.
Trên khói hương nầy, xin Phật ngự,; Chứng minh đệ tử, tấc lòng thành. (lạy);
On this incense smoke, may Buddha dwell; Prove your discipleship and show your sincerity. (prostrate) ☑ ☑
Đảnh lễ Phật; Paying respects to Buddha
Kính lạy Phật, từ bi cứu thế.; Đem đạo lành phổ-tế chúng sanh.;
Dear Buddha, compassionately save the world.; Bringing good teachings to all sentient beings;
Trần gian biết nẻo: tu hành,; Nhờ đèn trí-huệ, quang-minh soi đường (lạy);
The world knows the way: practice,; Thanks to the lamp of wisdom, light illuminates the way (prostration) ☑ ☑
Đảnh lễ Pháp bảo; Paying respects to the Dharma treasure
Kính lạy Pháp là phương giải thoát,; Respecting the Dharma is the way to liberation;
Gốc chân truyền: "Y bát" từ xưa.; Original transmission: "Robe bowl" from ancient times.;
Pháp tu, chứng đắc kịp giờ,; Độ người qua đến bến bờ bên kia. (lạy); Dharma practice, attained in time; Helping people cross to the other shore. (prostrate). ☑ ☑
Đảnh lễ Tăng sư; Paying respects to the monk
Kính lạy Tăng nghiêm trì giới luật,; (Đạo) Hạnh Tăng vô nhứt vật thanh bần.
Respect the Sangha strictly uphold the precepts; (Tao) The conduct of the Sangha is nothing but poverty.
Tự mình giác ngộ lý chân,; Giúp người giác ngộ chuyên cần công tu.(lạy)
Enlighten yourself to the truth; Help enlightened people diligently practice. (prostrate) ☑ ☑
Cúng dường Tam bảo
Offering the Three Jewels
Kính lạy Phật, Pháp, Tăng, Tam-Bảo,
Respect the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha, the Three Jewels,
Chứng lòng con hiếu thảo cúng-dường.
Evidence of filial piety-donation.
Của nầy "vốn" của thiện-lương,
This is the "original" of kindness,
Chúng con tạo sắm bằng phương-pháp lành.
We make purchases by good methods.
Nay phát nguyện, lòng thành dâng cúng,
Now make a vow, a sincere offering,
Xin ơn trên, hưởng dụng chứng minh.
Thank you above, enjoy the proof.
Nguyện cầu cho cả chúng sinh,
Pray for all sentient beings,
Nhứt là quyến thuộc, gia đình chúng con.
Especially our relatives, our family.
Kẻ hiện tại vẹn tròn quả phước,
The present person is full of blessings,
Người thác (chết) rồi lại được siêu-sinh.
The person falls (dies) and then is super born again.
Ngưỡng nhờ Phật pháp oai linh,
Threshold thanks to the majestic Buddha Dharma,
Ơn dày Tam bảo, phước lành ban ra.(lạy)
Thanks to the Three Jewels, blessings are bestowed. (bows)
Hồi hướng : CẦU NGUYỆN
Dedication: PRAYER
Làm xong được chút phước lành,
Having done a little blessing,
Con xin hồi hướng, chúng sanh hưởng nhờ.
I would like to dedicate, sentient beings will benefit from it.
Mênh mông biển khổ không bờ,
Vast sea of suffering without shore,
Trần gian chìm đắm mịt mờ, tối đen.
The world is engulfed in darkness and darkness.
Bỗng đâu núi báu hiện lên,
Suddenly, the treasure mountain appeared,
Tháp vàng rực rỡ vượt trên cao vời.
The brilliant golden tower rises above the sky.
Cơ duyên chánh pháp ra đời,
Righteous Dharma opportunity was born,
Lối tu tối thượng độ người trầm mê.
The ultimate way of meditation for people who are infatuated.
Tinh thần nẻo thẳng cao xuê,
The spirit of uprightness is lofty,
Mà đường vật chất thấp nê bùn lầy.
But the material road is low and muddy.
Càng buông bỏ, dưới chơn nầy,
The more you let go, under this foot,
Ấy là chỗ đứng càng ngày càng cao.
It is a position that is getting higher and higher.
Nhiều người chung sức với nhau,
Many people work together,
Công phu tứ chúng: góp vào điểm tô.
Elaborate four them: contribute to the painting point.
Đạo vàng cao quý bày phô,
The noble golden path is on display,
Cũng vì lợi ích, chung cho thế trần.
Also for the benefit, common to the world.
Hôm nay, con mới góp phần,
Today, I just contributed,
Nguyện xin tất cả, xa gần hưởng chung.
May all, far and near, enjoy together.
Mỗi người học đạo tỏ thông,
Each student of the Way shows understanding,
Chư Tăng Khất-sĩ ra công thuyết bày.
Monks and bhikshus made public presentations.
Cầu xin Giáo pháp hoằng khai,
May the Dharma unfold,
Được thường tỏ sáng, lại hay thơm lành.
It is often bright, often fragrant.
Nguyện cho đạo đức thạnh hành,
May morality be successful,
Cảnh đời Đông-độ đổi thành Tây-phương.(lạy)
The scene of the East-degree life changed to the Western-West. (bows)

(Thọ trì mỗi đêm tại gia hoặc tại Tịnh xá.; Uphold every night at home or at the Vihara.)
Dâng hương; Thurify
Khói hương xông thấu: mấy từng xanh,
The smoke of incense penetrates: a few green ones,
Rốt-ráo tâm con bổn nguyện lành.
Finally, my heart is full of good intentions.
Trên khói hương nầy, xin Phật ngự,
On this smoke of incense, may the Buddha dwell,
Chứng minh đệ tử, tất lòng thành.(lạy)
Prove disciple, wholeheartedly. (bow) ☑
Khai chuông; Open the bell
Nguyện tiếng chuông nầy thấu cõi Pháp,
May the sound of this bell penetrate the Dharma realm,
Vô minh u ám thảy đều nghe.
Ignorance and darkness are all hear.
Nghe rồi, thanh tịnh chứng viên-thông,
Heard it, pure witness-compassion,
Cả thảy chúng sanh thành chánh giác. (lạy)
All sentient beings become enlightened. (bow)
Nghe Chuông; Listen to the Bell
Nghe chuông nhẹ bớt não phiền,
Listening to the bell eases sorrow,
Giác sanh huệ lớn giọng thiền ngân nga.
Enlightenment of the great wisdom hums meditation.
Cõi này ngục đất tránh xa,
This realm is a hell to stay away from,
Cõi này hầm lửa thoát ra tu hành.
This world has a fire pit to escape to practice.
Nguyện xin quả Phật viên thành,
May Buddhahood be fulfilled,
Độ về tất cả chúng sanh mê lầm. (cúi lạy)
Salvation to all sentient beings whave ho wrong ignorance. (kowtow)

Kính lạy! Phật, từ bi cứu thế.
Regards! Buddha, compassion saves the world.

Kính lạy Pháp là phương giải thoát,
Bowing to the Dharma is the way to liberation,

Original Root Tradition: Robe-bowl from the past.
Pháp tu, chứng đắc kịp giờ,
Dharma practice, timely attainment,
Độ người qua đến bến bờ bên kia. (lạy)

Paying homage to the monk
Kính lạy Tăng nghiêm-trì giới-luật,
Homage to the Sangha who strictly observes the precepts,
Hạnh Tăng, vô nhứt: vật thanh bần.
The Virtue of the Sangha, only: poor things.
Tự mình giác ngộ lý chân,
Self-enlightenment of the truth,
Giúp người giác ngộ chuyên cần công tu.(lạy)
Help enlightened people diligently practice cultivation. (bows) ☑
Xưng Tụng Phật-Bảo
Praise Buddha-Precious
Phật là đấng tối cao giác ngộ,
Lập đạo tràng, tế độ chúng sanh.
Buddha is the supreme enlightened being,
Set up the ashram, and save sentient beings.
Luật nghiêm, giới-cấm ban hành,
Làm người dẫn lộ chỉ rành nẻo tu,
Strict laws, precepts-prohibition promulgated,
As a guide who knows only the path of cultivation, ☑
Cõi trần thế mịt mù tăm tối,
The world is full of darkness,
Biết đâu là đường lối: thoát thân.
Know where is the way: escape.
Đầu tiên một bậc siêu nhân,
First a superman,
Cất mình thoát tục, bước chân lìa đời.
Take yourself out of the world, step away from life.
Đây đệ tử là người mong mỏi,
Here is the disciple who aspires,
Dứt trần duyên, theo dõi học hành.
End the charm, and follow the study.
Kính dâng: một tấm lòng thành,
Homage to: a sincere heart,
Phụng thờ đức Phật đạo lành cao siêu. (lạy)
Worshiping the sublime good Buddha. (bow)

Praise the Dharma Treasure
Pháp của Phật giáo điều chánh lý,
The Dharma of Buddhism is the right thing,
Hạnh xuất gia, Khất sĩ thanh bần,
Virtuous monastic life, poor Mendicant,
Một y một bát tùy thân,; One robe and one bowl of personal identity,
Pháp môn khất thực, giáo dân độ đời.; The method of begging for food, saving the life of the faithful.

Pháp giải thoát khỏi nơi thế sự,; Dharma freed from worldly places,
Vãng sanh về Phật xứ: "đạo tràng".; Reincarnation in the Buddha land: "ashram".
Sống chung tu học dễ dàng,; Living together and studying is easy,
Tham thiền: nhập định, mở đàng huyền môn. ☑✒✖
Meditation: enter concentration, open the occult path.
Lời thuyết pháp hùng hồn cảnh tỉnh,; The eloquent sermon of warning,
Độ chúng sanh, dứt bịnh hôn trầm.; To save sentient beings, sickness, and depression.
Quí thay diệu pháp thậm thâm,
Cherish the profound magic,
Chúng con hết dạ, thành tâm: phụng thờ. (lạy)
We wholeheartedly, sincerely: worship. (bow)
Xưng tụng Tăng bảo
Praise the Sangha
Tăng là các nhà sư thanh tịnh,
Thể không không, chẳng dính: bụi trần.
Sangha are pure monks,
Non-empty, non-sticky: bare dust.
Xuất-gia, cắt ái, khinh thân,
Dứt trừ bổn ngã, lãnh phần độ-sanh.
Leaving home, cutting love, disdaining body,
Get rid of the ego, and receive birth relief. ☑
Tăng là kẻ thừa hành Phật pháp,
The Sangha is the follower of the Buddhadharma,
Đem đạo-mầu, dạy khắp thế gian.
Bring religion-color, teach all over the world.
Phàm trần đám lửa cháy lan,
In the mortal world the fire spreads,
Nước mưa Cam Lộ, xối tràn: tắt ngay!
Rainwater in Cam Lo, overflowing: tuit rn off now!
Chư Thánh Tăng, công dày vô hạn,
Holy Sangha, whose merit is limitless,
Độ chúng sanh, bao quản nhọc nhằn.
Lead sentient beings, take care of the hard work.
Đội ơn: cảm-đức, không ngằn,
Thank you: thank-virtue, do not hesitate,
Chúng con thờ kính lễ hằng: dám sai. (lạy)
We worship every day: dare to be wrong. (bow)
Sám Hối Tam Bảo
Repentance of the Three Jewels
Phật, Pháp, Tăng ngôi nhà tế độ,
Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, the house of salvation,
Để thế gian làm chỗ dựa nương.
Let the world be your refuge.
Những ai hủy báng khinh thường,
Those who slander contemptuously,
Ấy là cắt đứt con đường vãng sanh.
That is to cut off the path of rebirth.
Nay đệ tử lòng thành sám hối,
Now the disciple sincerely repents,
Xét lại mình tội lỗi từ xưa.
Reflect on my past sins.
Hoặc là nhiều kiếp dây dưa,
Or many entangled lives,
Chập chồng nghiệp quấy, có thừa núi cao.

Overwhelmed with bad karma, there are high mountains.
Thân đựng chứa biết bao tật xấu,
The body contains many vices,
Các việc làm, theo dấu tệ hư.
Jobs, follow the lousy track.
Hoặc là phỉ ố nhà sư,
Or defame the monk,
Hoặc là cử chỉ dường như hợm mình.
Or the gesture seems snobby.
Nào những lúc vô tình nói quấy,
Now when you accidentally say something wrong,
Bởi thói quen chỗ thấy lạc lầm.
Because of the habit of seeing mistakes.
Khinh chê diệu pháp thậm thâm,
Despise the profound magic,
Buông lung nghiệp miệng, vương lâm tội trời.
Let go of your mouth karma, the king is guilty of heaven.
Cùng tâm ý khinh đời: ngạo vật,
With the same mind contempt for life: pride,
Tính cho rằng không Phật, Thánh, Tiên.
Calculate that there is no Buddha, Saint, or Fairy.
Hoặc là tin tưởng, quàng xiêng,
Or trust, swaddle,
Mà đường chánh tín lãng quên tấm lòng.
But the righteous path forgets the heart.
Từ vô thỉ chập chồng tội lỗi,
From beginningless time interspersed with sin,
Nay con nguyền sám hối ăn năn.
Now I swear to repent.
Quấy xưa: xin quyết chừa răn,
Harassment in the past: please decide to leave the commandment,
Ngưỡng mong, đầy đủ thiện căn trở về. (lạy)
Threshold, full of good roots returns. (bow)
Quy y Tam Bảo
Take refuge in the Three Jewels
Qui y Phật, con hết lòng kính phật,
Taking refuge in the Buddha, I respect him with all my heart,
Lượng từ bi, con nguyện học theo Ngài.
With compassion, I vow to learn from You.
Thương chúng sanh, khắp võ trụ muôn loài,
Loving sentient beings, throughout the universe, all beings,
Một tánh giác, thể đại đồng vạn vật. (lạy)
An awareness, the universal body of all things. (bow)
Qui y Pháp, gắng theo học Pháp bảo,
Taking refuge in the Dharma, trying to study the Dharma,
Được thức tâm, giải thoát cảnh lầm mê.
Be awakened mind, free from confusion.
Pháp vô sanh, chư Phật thảy nương về,
The Dharma is unborn, all Buddhas take refuge,
Bát chánh đạo, cùng tứ y: chánh pháp. (lạy)
The Eightfold Path, with the four robes: the Dharma. (bow)
Qui y Tăng, con quý trọng nhà Tăng,
Take refuge in the Sangha, I cherish the Sangha,
Hòa hiệp chúng, lẽ sống chung bình đẳng,
Reconciling them, the reasfor of living together equally,
Thanh tịnh giới, thể trang nghiêm vắng lặng,
Pure precepts, dignified and quiet bodies.
Đức hạnh đầy, kiêm đủ cả tài năng. (lạy)
Full of virtue, and full of talent. (bow)

Thọ trì Ngũ giới; Uphold the Five Precepts
Một gìn, giới cấm: Sát sanh,
One uphold, the precept forbids: Killing,
Những ngày chay nhạt, không đành giết ăn.
The days of fasting are pale, do not have to kill and eat.
Thú kia chẳng đoạn mạng-căn,
That animal doesn't cut off its life-base,
Tránh xa nhiều kiếp, thù-hằn chém, đâm. (lạy)
Avoid many lifetimes, hate-slashing, stabbing. (bow)
Hai giữ, giới cấm: Gian tham,
Two keep, forbidden precepts: Greed,
Của người chẳng đặng lấy làm của ta.
Yours is not to be taken as mine.
Những mong kiếp khác sanh ra,
Wishing other lives to be born,
Khỏi đường nghiệp báo, đọa sa: lạc lầm. (lạy)
Off the path of karma, fall: lost. (bow)
Ba giữ, giới cấm: Tà dâm,
Three keep, forbidden precepts: Fornication,
Chẳng đem đạo nghĩa, trăm năm đổi dời.
Do not bring the righteous, hundred years to change.
Không hay nhiễm thói chơi-bời,
Not prone to the habit of playing around,
Về sau tránh khỏi, kiếp đời dâm bôn. (lạy)
Afterward, avoid the lewd life. (bow)
Bốn gìn, giới cấm: vọng-ngôn,
Four protections, forbidden precepts: false speech,
Không lời quỷ quyệt, tinh khôn gạt lường.
No cunning words, clever trickery.
Hại người, tội ác chẳng vươn,
Harming people, crimes do not reach,
Tâm hồn điên đảo, đau thương không ngừa. (lạy)
The mind is crazand y, the pain is not preventable. (bows)
Năm gìn, giới cấm: Say sưa,
Five preservation, forbidden precepts: Drunk,
Rượu kia chất độc nguyện chừa bỏ ra.
That alcohol is a poison that is willing to let go.
Đặng cho những kiếp về xa,
For the distant lives,
Tránh điều mê muội, vạy tà tối tăm. (lạy)
Avoid ignorance, dark evil. (bow)
